The Civil War

The Civil War was the bloodiest conflict in American history. Over one million soldiers and civilians were killed. Caused primarily by the issue of slavery, the war raged on for just over four years before it finally ending with a Union victory, led by Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant.
